Autodesk University Extension Coming to a Mumbai, India

After 20 years, when the Autodesk University started in US. The event has grown into numerous events being held worldwide. Its fact – very few Indian afford to make their way to Las Vegas for AU! AU Extensions (AUx) is smaller one day event that provide a great opportunity for design and engineering professionals to upgrade and validate their skills by obtaining Autodesk Certifications at the event and connect with peers and experts - without the cost of traveling to Autodesk University at Las Vegas.
The 1st  AUx in India will be held on Dec. 19, 2013 at The Grand Hyatt, Santacruz, Mumbai. The day-long event will showcase technologies of the future from the Autodesk portfolio and also demonstrate novel applications of design technology by leading design and engineering professionals, animators, visual artists, architects and filmmakers. 

The registered users also have opportunity to certify themselves for the latest versions of Autodesk software like AutoCAD 2014 Certified Professional, Revit Architecture 2014 Certified Professional, Inventor 2014 Certified Professional, Civil 3D 2014 Certified Professional, 3Ds Max 2014 Certified Professional, Maya 2014 Certified Professional.

The event in Mumbai will also showcase innovative technology from Autodesk in 3D Printing, Reality Capture, Animation and also innovative projects undertaken by customers from Architecture, Engineering, Construction, Manufacturing and Media & Entertainment industries

AUx Mumbai will also have industry specific sessions conducted by technical specialists and Autodesk customers. Notable speakers from Manufacturing, Architecture, Civil, General Design and Entertainment will have slots after keynote and lunch.

Siemens Scholarship - encouraging and promoting engineering education amongst meritorious students in India

 Siemens India today, announced the – Siemens Scholarship for the engineering students from the states of Goa, Gujarat and Maharashtra, pursuing engineering (FE) in

-          Mechanical
-          Electrical
-          Electronics/Instrumentation
-          E&TC
-          Computer/IT

Siemens Scholarship would encourage and promote engineering education amongst the meritorious students from low income families to meet a part of their day-to-day expenses while pursuing higher studies.  In view of this, Siemens offers a limited number of scholarships to deserving candidates to pursue their education and launch a sustainable career in engineering, R&D or manufacturing.

The first year engineering students with family income below 2 Lakhs, and 60% in SSC and HSC with Min 45% in CET can apply for the scholarship.
